Albany State University is offering a Bachelor of Social Work degree at Waycross College.
The mission of the Social Work program is to prepare students from a generalist practice perspective to become knowledgeable and competent in the practice areas related to diverse populations who are oppressed, marginalized, and under served in rural Southeast Georgia. This mission is in keeping the Social Work profession's commitment to promote social justice, economic stability, and the enhancement of the quality of life for individuals, families, small groups, organizations, and communities.

What our program offers at Waycross College:
Six semester pre-planned graduation track: Class of 2010
Class of 2011
All classes available on Waycross College campus. ASU staff available on Waycross College campus Evening classes. Title IV-E Educational Stipend Program.
Admissions Process on Waycross College campus:

Potential social work majors may apply for formal admission to the program during the final semester of their A.A. program. These students should have completed all general education courses required for their A.A. degree.
To be considered for admission, all students must submit the following:
ASU application for Admission
Social Work Program Application
Transcripts from all colleges, and/or universities attended
Three letters of recommendation
Proof of passing the Regents Exam
A minimum GPA of 2.50
