Research & Training

Parents who enroll their children in our program do so with the understanding that their children will be observed, videotaped, and photographed for purposes of education and training.  At times we will ask for consent to their child’s and/or family’s participation in specific research projects.

State-Approved Curriculums

The Early Learning Center will use a child-guided approach to learning. In this approach, teachers determine the curriculum that is best suited for the child’s needs. Research shows that children have different learning styles and needs, and using this approach of matching style of learning with curriculum enhances their learning ability. The four curriculums that will be available to the children are: High Scope, Creative, Bank Street, and Montessori which are all state approved.   The state-of-the-art technology center will include the first outdoor music and art classrooms in Southwest Georgia. The classrooms will be set up by ASU music and arts majors, who will be provided the opportunity to get hands-on experience in their fields of study.
