The Peer Tutoring Center is available in a number of subject areas. Not only can you request a tutor but you can apply to work as a tutor as well.

The Career Development Center can help students choose a major, explore careers, search for internships or jobs, and create portfolios in preparation for graduation.

The Writing Center supports student success by helping students develop the writing skills necessary to achieve success in college courses. The staff provides constructive feedback, assists with revisions, and tutors students in proper ways of completing writing assignments. The Writing Center will assist in all writing assignments for all academic disciplines. Not only is there a walk in center but an online guide for help with writing is now available.

The Math Center provides support for any math class on campus. Support is provided in a number of ways. Students can receive one-on-one tutoring from any staff member, work on a computer with different software packages, watch online videos, or utilize the links for helpful web sites.

Albany State University implements an early alert system. With this system, each Instructor will submit an alert on a student’s course progress if there are concerns. The alert is sent via the official Albany State email to the student and Advisor. The Advisor will then follow up with the student and high school counselor. All alerts for dual enrollment students are sent to the Dual Enrollment Coordinator.

It is vital that students become familiar with GeorgiaVIEW, and Office 365.

GeorgiaVIEW will be utilized whether you are taking a fully online class or accessing support pages for your courses. Microsoft Office 365 is now being offered to Albany State University students as an email service. The software service also allows students to utilize online versions of Microsoft Office applications.

All students wishing to graduate must submit a Degree Evaluation Application & Graduation Application at least two semesters prior to the term you expect to graduate.  Applications for graduation are due by March 15th for May graduates and October 15th for Fall graduates.
