| You're scattered all over the globe now, from sea to shining sea, those of you who once called Albany State University home. But once a Ram, always a Ram. As you look at these images of your alma mater, you no doubt feel the tug of the hallowed ground on which you were nurtured as you became the man or woman you are today. Sure, there's a lot new at ASU - the Great Flood of '94 washed away landmark structures and led to a magnificent face lift. But no water can erase this land, this embodiment of founder Dr. Joseph W. Holley's dream, and no physical change will ever alter the soul of this place.
Our theme for Homecoming 2007 is "ASU – A Dream Fulfilled: Potential Realized." Such a dream could not be realized without every single one of you who became a chapter in the history book of this great University. So, as the southwest Georgia heat grudgingly gives way to the cool of another autumn Homecoming, and all you Golden Rams from Atlanta to New York to California to countries all over the world start to get that old familiar yearning to check out life on the yard . we say give in to it. Come home. You'll be amazed at how things have changed; you'll be even more amazed at how they've remained the same.
