The following instructions provide the method by which students and faculty members can login to Banner Web.
Banner Web Access
Upon acceptance to Albany State University, all students receive a Letter of Admission. This letter contains your Banner Web RAMID and PIN. If you have misplaced your letter or the information contained within your letter does now allow access, please contact the Customer Services Desk at 229.430.4909.
Logging on to Banner Web
1. Locate any computer (either on campus or off campus) that has Internet Access. Select the following web site: www.asurams.edu
2. Click on the Banner Web at the top of the page.
3. At the Banner Web home page select, Click Here to Enter Banner Self-Service.
4. You will notified that you are about to enter a secure area, select Yes.
5. Click on Login to Secure Area.
6. You will be prompted to enter your User ID and PIN.

7. When you have successfully logged into Banner Web for the first time, you will be prompted to change your PIN. You must change your PIN now-this is not optional . Your old PIN is the PIN you have just entered in order to get to this screen-not any PIN you have ever used in the past. Your PIN must consist of 6 digits. Letters and numbers are acceptable. Spaces and symbols are not acceptable.
Your PIN has expired. Please change it now.

6. Once you have entered your PIN in twice successfully, you will be prompted to enter a security question and answer. This is your "back door" into Banner Web should you forget your PIN. It is not your PIN and does not reference your PIN. It is a question and answer that only you know the answer, such as "What is my mother's maiden name?" You must complete this screen.

CAUTION! When entering the answer to your security question, you must enter the answer EXACTLY the way you entered it. For example, if you put your question as 'What is my favorite color?" and you keyed in your answer as 'gray'. You must enter the word 'gray', not 'Gray', 'grey', ' graa ', etc., should you need to access your Security Question/Answer.
Example of bad Security Questions:
What's up ?, (too ambiguous)
Example of bad Security Answers:
Billie Joe-Bob, III (capitalization, punctuation and spacing must be exact)
7. After entering your security question and answer, you will be taken to the disclaimer page. You must select "continue" if you accept the terms and use for Banner Web and Albany State University. A record of your acceptance will be placed on your records within the Banner system.
