Applying to Albany State is as easy as 1-2-3.
1. Submit your application online.
2. Send your official test scores and transcripts.
3. Complete your FAFSA.
First-Time Freshman Admission Requirements:
- SAT Test Takers - Critical Reading 430 & Math 400
- ACT Test Takers - English 17 & Math 17
- Minimum high school GPA of 2.22
Applicants must meet the University System of Georgia's College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) requirements for regular admission.
High School Courses
NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR 2012 INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL UNIT IN NATURAL SCIENCE
4 Units of English
4 Units of Mathematics
4 Units of Natural Science
3 Units of Social Science
2 Units of the same Foreign Language
Transfer Students - Admission Requirements:
- Minimum transfer GPA of 2.0
- Transcripts from all schools (technical colleges and colleges/universities must be provided).
- 30 transferrable credit hours (Semester)
- Students with less than 30 transferrable credit hours must submit official high school transcript and test scores for evaluation.
For University System of Georgia transfer students, Regents Test Scores must be provided or proof of waiver.
Non-Traditional
You are a non-traditional student if you completed High School prior to 2008:
Compass Test Assessment Required
- High School Transcript or GED Test Scores must be provided
Joint Enrollment / MOWR
You have not yet completed high school, but you want to take college credit courses:
- SAT Test Takers - Critical Reading 550 & Math 500
- ACT Test Takers - English 21 & Math 21
- Approval from Parents or Guardian
