Students - Admissions

Applying to Albany State is as easy as 1-2-3.  Submit your application online, send your official test scores, and complete your FAFSA.  It's really simple. 

First-Time Freshman Admission Preferences:

• SAT Test Takers - Critical Reading 430 & Math 400

• ACT Test Takers - English 17 & Math 17

• Applicants must meet the University System of Georgia's College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) requirements for acceptance.

Transfer Students Admission Preferences (More than 30 hours completed):

• Minimumum transfer GPA of 2.22

• For University System of Georgia transfer students, Regents Test Scores must be provided

Non-Traditional Students (Completed High School prior to 2004):

• Compass Test Assessment Required if ACT or SAT not taken

• High School Transcript or GED Test Scores must be provided

Joint Enrollment and Move on When Ready:

• SAT Test Takers - Critical Reading 430 & Math 400

• ACT Test Takers - English 17 & Math 17

• Approval from Parents

• Approval from High School Counselor
