Faculty Programming Grant

The program is designed to bring distinguished departmental lecturers to campus to interact with faculty, students and administrators. It is expected that distinguished visitors will be present in a department for a period of at least one day.  Consideration will be given to applications that involve visitors in conferences, as keynote speakers or lecturers. Departments are expected to devise a variety of events for their guest that would emphasize their status as a leader in his/her respective field. Departments and interdisciplinary groups can bring scholars to Albany State for public events including a lecture, colloquium, panel, or performance. Visiting scholars and performers must be among the leaders in their field. While all events may not result in a publication, the Center for Teaching, Learning and Scholarship (CTLS) expects that proposals will be designed with the goal of having a lasting effect beyond a series of lectures or performances.

Financial Assistance maybe provided in an amount up to $2,000 in support of lecture speaker fees. There are currently three (3) programming grant awards available. Grant awards are disbursed at the discretion of the Center for Teaching, Learning & Scholarship and are contingent upon availability of funds.
