Ms. Gena Kay Shealy
Ms. Gena Kay Shealy, a skilled speaker, trainer and consultant approaches her audiences with enthusiasm and focused energy. As a professional consultant she specializes in helping organizations and individuals realize their potential and develop skills for success. With over twenty years of experience in the corporate arena she combines her knowledge of leadership practices with engaging facilitation that is fast-paced, effective and fun. She delivers programs in leadership and management training, communication skills, stress management, dealing with change, time management and effective presentation skills. She has received numerous awards and recognition in her areas of expertise.
A certified DiSC® instructor, Gena Kay works with groups and individuals using the DiSC® Profile to help improve their skills in communication, assertiveness and to develop better relationships with clients and customers. As a certified StressMapping® instructor she has worked on projects with the U.S. Postal Service for stress management. Gena Kay has also designed and facilitated mentoring and coaching training sessions for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with the purpose being to fully acquaint potential mentors with the characteristics necessary to guide and advise early career development for public health professionals and provide instruction to mentees on identifying good mentors. She has consulted with various organizations on change management and delivered workshops on Managing Change to many Fortune 500 companies.
Gena Kay incorporates her insights from her corporate training career into the design and delivery of her training programs. She has developed and implemented High Performance Leadership training programs for several Fortune 500 companies as well as a train-the-trainer certification program for a leading managed care company.
Some of the companies she has provided training to include, MagMutual Insurance, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Coca-Cola, McKesson, Georgia Lottery, Kimberly Clark, Turner Broadcasting, Metro Atlanta Chamber, LGE Community Credit Union, Kurt Salmon Associates, United Health Care, Magellan Health Services, Price, Waterhouse Coopers and has been a key speaker at the Georgia Rehabilitation Conference for 2010, 2012 and 2014. With a Master of Science in Counseling she utilizes her knowledge of human behavior to help individuals grow and to help companies create positive and healthy work environments.
