2012-2017 Title III Activities and Albany State University Strategic Plan 2012-2017

Since the Title III funding formula is directly tied to the number of students receiving financial aid support, graduation rates and the number of graduates in graduate school or employed in professional and academic areas in which Blacks are under-represented, it is imperative that these funded programs are viable and effective. They must be programs designed to respond to the diverse educational needs of our students, providing opportunities for students to engage in research and technology, and engaging students in activities that enhance learning. If our programs reflect these qualities and gain measurable success, then we will be recognized as a pre-eminent institution of higher education as described in the university’s 2012-17 Strategic Plan.

Albany State University has two programs funded under Title III Strengthening Grants Programs (1) Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and (2) Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act (SAFRA).  Each program  has funded project activities to help meet various university Strategic Goals.
