About ASU Police Department
The mission of the Albany State University Police Department is to ensure that we maintain the highest level of safety and security for our administrators, faculty, staff, students and visitors. Our goal is to have a professional community orientated policing environment that demonstrates our commitment to serving and protecting the campus community. To support our mission, the Albany State Police Department collaborates with the larger campus community and outside law enforcement agencies to ensure the campus is provided with the resources to have the highest level of safety and professionalism.
The Albany State University Police Department staff consists of 19 certified police officers, 8 security officers, 4 communications officers, 1 administrative assistant and one receptionist. The Department provides services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We have the capability to provide notifications to our campus community through our Connect Ed notification system and our Emergency Siren (multi-alarm) System.
Safety should be a concern that everyone on campus should be involved and support. Therefore, it is in the best interest of all to assist the Department in solving or preventing crime.
