Psychology Program

Welcome to the Psychology program at Albany State University. The Psychology program at Albany State University is committed to providing high quality education. It is our goal to enable students to think critically about mental and behavioral processes, to respect and appreciate others, and to prepare students for a wide variety of post-baccalaureate alternatives. The faculty and staff are here to assist you with achieving your goals. Please understand however, that it is up to you to apply yourself to the full extent of your abilities. 

Majoring in psychology requires serious and committed work. Therefore, develop good habits, and stay focused. The field of psychology is very challenging so start planning your future today. 

Students majoring in Psychology may join two organizations in the program. They are the Psychology Club and PSI CHI, the National Honor Society in Psychology.  

The Psychology Club is open to all Psychology majors. PSI CHI, the National Honor Society in Psychology is open only to Psychology majors with a GPA of 3.3. Students are encouraged to join both organizations.
