It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Office of the Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Albany State University (ASU) where potential is realized. For more than 100 years, ASU has served the educational needs of southwest Georgia, the state, and the nation by providing quality educational experiences for students. I am enthusiastic about our future collective success in resolving the 21st century’s challenges in higher education, such as the issues of access, affordability, accountability, effective and efficient processes, optimum resource utilization, and evidence-based student learning outcomes. The determination of our faculty and staff, students, alumni, and supporters provides a combined powerful force to ensure the realization of our institutional mission and vision.
ASU through its four (4) colleges: the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Business, the College of Education, and the College of Sciences and Health Professions, offers 35 undergraduate and 16 graduate degree programs. These programs are supported by an array of administrative units focusing on student success.
Our overarching goal is to provide an educational environment where the solutions to real world problems, the quest for life-long learning, the respect and value of diversity and the standard of on-going quality improvement serve as the benchmark for all that we do at ASU. I encourage you to explore other parts of the ASU website and to share with us any questions you may have about the University, its programs, resources and/or services.
