Dear ASU Parent/Family Member,

Please see the below message sent to students from Student Health Services.

In the best interest of the health and safety of our community, it is imperative that all faculty, staff and students self-monitor and acknowledge that they do not have signs or symptoms of COVID-19 prior to coming to campus each day. If you are experiencing any symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19, do not come to campus. All faculty, staff, and students, please consider testing prior to returning to the campus for the spring 2021 semester.

If you feel you have been exposed, FREE COVID-19 testing is available for faculty, staff, and enrolled students. The test does not require an appointment. Results are available within 15 minutes. Testing will be available Jan. 11-15 and Jan. 19-22 from 1-4 p.m. in the East Campus L. Orene Hall Building and the West Campus Old Bookstore.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a 10 day isolation for individuals who are COVID-19 positive; and a 14 day quarantine for individuals who have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19. Therefore, faculty, staff and students are reminded of the following:

  • Do not come to campus if you are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms including, but not limited to: fever of 100.4 or greater; chills, cough; shortness of breath; more fatigue than usual; muscle or body aches; headache; new loss of taste of smell; sore throat; nasal congestion or runny nose; nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

  • Do not come to campus if you are COVID-19 positive or have been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive person. If you are a residential student, you must return home until your isolation/quarantine period is over. If circumstances prevent you from returning home, contact Student Health Services at studenthealthservices@asurams.edu

If you have questions, concerns, or are unclear about any of the information provided, please do not report to campus, do not report to your residence hall and do not report to your classes. Instead, please contact Student Health Services at studenthealthservices@asurams.edu or 229-500-3544.
