Campus Update 9/2/21

University System of Georgia (USG) Vaccine Administrative Day

The University System of Georgia (USG) will remain open on September 3, 2021. The following guidance is in compliance with the intent of the Governors COVID-19 Vaccination Day for state employees.

The USG Vaccine Administrative Day is designed to encourage unvaccinated University System of Georgia (USG) employees to schedule their COVID -19 vaccine appointment by December 31, 2021. The University System of Georgia (USG) will provide employees with eight (8) hours of administrative leave. Employees who have already received the COVID-19 vaccine are also eligible. Employees do not have to utilize the absence to receive a vaccination.

This leave is in lieu of and aligns with Governor Kemp’s Vaccination Day closing of state offices on September 3, 2021. To make this process as convenient as possible while maintaining service to our students and campus community, USG employees may request time off for approval from September 1 to December 31, 2021.

Our priority is to protect the health and safety of our campus community by encouraging and supporting all of our employees to be vaccinated. If you have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, please contact a medical professional. Thank you to those who have already been vaccinated.

To request this leave, fill out the attached request form and email it to your supervisor and hrasu@asurams.edu.

Additionally, please read the attached FAQ. Should you have any questions, please contact the Office of Human Resources at (229) 500-2026.
