March 12, 2020
Faculty, Staff and Students,
Over the last several weeks ASU, the University System of Georgia (USG) and the Department of Public Health (DPH) have been monitoring and evaluating the activities associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Effective today, March 12 – 27, ASU will temporarily suspend instruction to allow time to implement our business continuity plan and online and remote instruction modules.
This decision was made by USG system leaders after receiving guidance from DPH. Updates can be found on the ASU Coronavirus webpage and official social media platforms. In addition to continuously updating the website and social media, we are also updating local media outlets.
Students: Do not return to campus from spring break. If you are currently on campus, you are expected to depart by 5 p.m. tomorrow, March 13. If you have extenuating circumstances and are unable to leave campus, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 229-500-2025. The Office of Housing and Residence Life will be in contact with residential students with additional information regarding your personal belongings.
Staff: Return to work tomorrow, Friday, March 13 as normal.
Faculty: Return to work on Monday, March 16.
I will continue to update the campus community via campus email and the ASU Coronavirus webpage.
