Vision Statement 

The AgriTech & AI Innovation Expo seeks to ignite innovation and collaboration in southwest Georgia, leveraging cutting-edge advancements in agriculture and artificial intelligence. This initiative envisions a future where technology, education, and industry converge to elevate the rural community, inspire the next generation, and foster global partnerships.

Purpose and Mission 

The AgriTech & AI Innovation Expo, co-hosted by Albany State University (ASU), SOWEGA Rising, and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Atlanta, serves as a dynamic platform for connecting the southwest Georgia community with leaders in technology, agriculture, education, and government. This groundbreaking event is designed to:

  1. Empower Communities: Provide high school and college students, rural residents, and industry professionals with access to innovative resources and transformative ideas.
  2. Showcase Innovation: Highlight advancements in AgriTech and AI, featuring Dutch expertise and pioneering projects in precision agriculture, workforce development, and manufacturing.
  3. Foster Partnerships: Announce collaborative initiatives, such as future innovation centers, exchange student programs, and advanced degree offerings at Albany State University.
  4. Attract Investment: Engage donors, sponsors, and vendors from large corporations, small businesses, not-for-profits, and government sectors to support regional growth.

Event Highlights

  • Equip farmer attendees and attendees at-large with actionable knowledge and an extended network of professional resources. 
  • Share insights into the immediate and future impact of AI and AgriTech on education, workforce development, and economic growth.
  • Strengthen regional collaboration to foster innovation and progress.
  • Breakout sessions led by Dutch professors and industry leaders on the latest agricultural technologies.
  • Hands-on demonstrations of AI and innovative farming techniques.
  • Panel discussions and Q&A sessions addressing technical support, financing opportunities, and pathways for job creation.
  • Georgia Aim Project 3 Mobile Unit: Showcasing advancements in AI and Manufacturing technology.
  • Fort Valley State University Fab Lab and Precision Ag Lab: Presenting state-of-theart fabrication and agricultural technologies.
  • Albany State University Mobile Tech Unit: Introducing ASU’s latest technology initiatives in manufacturing and engineering.
