What motivated you to learn more about your field?
The most meaningful learning experience came from combining perspectives from all kinds of pe
ople. Interdisciplinary Studies gives me the skills to integrate multiple areas of interest and develop a more thorough approach to problem-solving.

Why did you choose ASU?
I chose ASU because of the proximity to my home. There is no love like being at an HBCU. Transferring in was never an issue because the ASU community has been great to me since my visit.

What are your post-graduation plans?
My post-graduation plans are to continue coaching and start my master’s program at Georgia State University.

What do you love most about your chosen profession?
What I love most about my chosen profession is giving back, seeing the same smiles I had as a kid, and winning, as well!

Who has made the biggest impact on you, and who do you consider to be a role model at ASU?
Leslie Charles. Although I have only known her for a short time and have only taken one of her classes, she made a major impact on me with the time she had. I learned more than just American Government, I have learned that my worth to the world is greater than I realized every time we spoke.

What is your favorite memory from your time at ASU?
My favorite memory from my time at ASU was the Summer of 2024, staying over the summer with a few former teammates and working alongside Mr. Leroy and the Housing staff to clean, organize, and prepare the dorms and buildings for the next term. They took great care of us, and I will always appreciate them for that.

What advice would you give to other ASU students?
Once adversity hits you, don’t shy away from it or look for shortcuts. Take it head-on! Pray and let God guide your route to success; the rest will be history.

What would you say to a high school student about choosing ASU to further their education?
Have fun! Enjoy these four years as much as you can while still handling your business. These years go by quickly, but they will be some of the best years of your life. At Albany State, support is always within reach; you will never walk this journey alone!
