Types of Student Organizations
Registered Student Organizations (RSOs):
Student-led clubs and organizations formed around shared interests and officially
recognized by the University. These organizations are supported and overseen by the
Office of Student Engagement. (i.e., Criminal Justice Club, Divas Mentoring Program, NAACP, Platinum DIVAS, etc.)

| Culture & Identity | Organizations that celebrate cultural heritage, identity, and shared experiences. |
| Recreation & Sports | Organizations that participate in recreational activities or intercollegiate sport competition. |
| Religious | Faith-based organizations that support spiritual growth and fellowship. |
| Special Interest | Organizations centered on student interests and passions not represented in other categories. |
Departmental Student Organizations:
Student groups sponsored by University departments that support student success and
leadership development. (i.e., Active Minds, Holley Ambassadors, Pre-Alumni Council)
Greek-Letter Organizations:
Fraternities and sororities that promote brotherhood and sisterhood, scholarship,
leadership, and service. (i.e., Divine 9/NPHC and CIO)
