Mission:
The Center for Transformational Student Experiences (CTSE) fosters academic excellence and student success in and out of ASU by providing integrative and life-changing learning experiences in and beyond classroom instruction.
CTSE accomplishes this mission by partnering with faculty, staff, students, and community using High Impact Practices (HIPs) and other transformational strategies.
What We Do:
- Coordinate the University’s Undergraduate Research Program
- Hold Undergraduate Research Workshops
- Hold Annual Undergraduate Research Symposiums
- Engage in Collaborative Student Mentoring
- Coordinate Global and research Learning through Faculty Course-Internationalization
- Create Opportunities for Students and Faculty Engagement in External Fellowships and Internships-Fulbright
CTSE's mission aligns with ASU value, which focuses on achieving excellence and preparing students to be effective contributors to a globally diverse society for personal and professional success. The Department accomplishes set goals through collaborative engagements with Faculty, Staff, Departments, Colleges, Divisions of Academic Affairs, Division of Student Affairs, and Community.
The Center for Transformational Student Experiences is
committed to the achievement of the following goals:
- Increasing the number of undergraduate students engaged in research at the University.
- Supporting undergraduate research presentations in local, state, and national conferences.
- Supporting faculty engagement in mentoring undergraduate research at the University.
- Promoting student engagement in internships via the undergraduate research.
- Increasing the number of students enrolled in courses that include research and global learning at the University’s undergraduate programs.
- Increasing the quality of undergraduate research workshops at the University.
- Creating awareness and participation of students and faculty in Fulbright programs.
- Strengthening the academic preparation and marketability of ASU students via undergraduate research symposiums and global learning engagements.
- Providing an undergraduate research office for student access to the research assistance
needed
to conduct research projects, including advice and consultation.
