Nelnet Payment Plan

Advantages

Paying for the rising cost of a college education is a concern for nearly every student and family. To help you meet your educational expenses, Albany State University is pleased to offer Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS) as a convenient budget plan. This is not a loan program. You have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges and there is no credit check. Enrollment in this plan is easy and available online.

Payment Methods	Cost to Participate
Automatic Bank Payments (ACH) ACH payments are payments you have authorized NBS to process on behalf of ASU. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds you have pre-approved for your expenses at ASU. Payments may be made from your checking or savings account. Credit Card/ Debit Card If you elect to use this payment method, your monthly payment, along with a convenience fee, will be automatically charged to the credit card your designate. The convenience fee is in addition to the enrollment fee. Scheduled payments are processed on the 20th of the month and will continue until the balance is paid in full. Down payments and the enrollment fee are deducted immediately. Payments are processed on the 20th of each month	$60 or $70 nonrefundable enrollment fee depending on the number of payments $30 returned payment fee, should a payment be returned by your financial institution The maximum amount you may budget is $4,500.00. Any amount over this will be added to your down payment. All charges(housing, meal, tuition, fees) added after Schedule Adjustments (Add/Drop) will not be covered by the Nelnet plan. Students are required at this time to pay the remaining balance to Albany State University.

My Nelnet payment plan is a service provided which enables you to view the current status of your payment plan, account balance, payment amount, and manage your account. You will need your confirmation email available before logging-in. You will receive your confirmation email one business day after submitting your payment plan agreement.

Using the Students link , navigate to Money Matters- Setup Payment Plan
Log in, you will then be on the main menu
Navigate to Student Services & Financial Aid, Registration, and select Set up Payment Plan
Students may enroll in the plan each semester. The maximum amount for the plan is $4,500. Any amount over this will be added to the down payment.
Payment plans are for current semester tuition/fees expenses ONLY.

Please do not assume your balance will automatically be adjusted if financial aid is received or a class is dropped or added. All charges(housing, meal, tuition, fees) added after Schedule Adjustments (Add/Drop) will not be covered by the Nelnet plan. Students should review their agreement balance online throughout the first couple of months in the term to ensure the payment amount and if you owe the institution directly.
