Post Office

The Post Office is a department of Materials Management. We form a partnership with our customers to ensure customer service and satisfaction is met. The Post Office provides a service to the college community by processing and distributing external and internal mail to students, faculty, and staff in a timely and accurate manner. The ASU post office provides and achieves the most economical postage and cost containment techniques and provides fast and efficient service to all customers for the postal functional areas. The highest priority of the Post Office is our customers and the quality and integrity of the mail services provided to them. We pledge to sustain an environment of support and respect for all who work here and those who use our services.

Campus mail is distributed after first class mail & must follow these guidelines:

  1. Campus mail must be university-related.
  2. Recipient names and unit numbers must be on all pieces.
  3. All mail pieces must be in unit number order and banded.

Packages

USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL Packages will be picked up from the Post Office
Please note that an Albany State University ID is required to pick up a package and to receive the combination or key to your mailbox.

Smart Parcel Lockers 
Package Pickup Made Easy

Albany State University is excited to offer Smart Parcel Lockers that provide students with a secure, convenient, and contact-free way to retrieve packages.

When a package arrives for you, Mail Services will place it in a secure Smart Parcel Locker and send an email notification with your pickup instructions and secure access code. Simply visit the designated locker location, enter your access code or scan the barcode from your email, and retrieve your package at your convenience.

  1. Your package arrives at Albany State University Mail Services.

  2. Mail Services places your package in a secure Smart Parcel Locker.

  3. You receive an email notification containing your pickup code and locker location.

  4. Visit the designated locker location.

  5. Enter your pickup code or scan the barcode from your email.

  6. Sign for your package on the locker screen if prompted.

  7. The locker door will open automatically.

  8. Retrieve your package and close the locker door.

Important Information

  • Students must use the pickup code provided in their email notification to access their package.

  • Packages should be retrieved as soon as possible after notification.

  • Oversized, refrigerated, damaged, or special-handling packages may require pickup directly from Mail Services.

  • Students should have their ASU ID available when requesting assistance.

  • If you experience any issues accessing a locker or retrieving a package, please contact Mail Services.
