Welcome to RAM Rush!
The City of Albany will operate the Ram Rush transportation service in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines. These guidelines require that all citizens/students that utilize public transportation, of which Ram Rush is part, wear a mask when boarding and riding the buses. These guidelines supersede any ASU guidelines where wearing a mask is optional.
Overview
The University is excited to collaborate with the City of Albany and the Albany Transit
System to offer bus services to and from the West Campus and East Campus, Ram Rush.
As an added bonus, students qualified to ride the Ram Rush may also ride any City
Transit bus to any location in Albany serviced by the transit system free of charge.
A qualified student is one who has paid all of his/her tuition and fees to include
the Transportation Fee.
There are three bus stops on each campus. Each bus will stop at all three locations
when on the respective campuses. Bus shelters and stops are located at the following
locations.

- Cavalier Drive in front of the Physical Education Building
- East Access Road in front of the Allied Health/Community Services Building, Building J

Should there ever be a time that you arrive at the bus stop and the driver is not
on board, please do not attempt to board the bus. No rider is allowed to enter the
bus unless the driver is present.
Students must have their ID in order to ride the bus. The bus driver will not allow
anyone to ride who cannot swipe his/her ID card in the fare box.
Operational hours are outlined on the website. Normal hours are Monday through Friday
with limited service on Saturday. The bus transit does not operate on Sunday.
ASU Students who ride the Ram Rush are governed by the Albany State University Student
Code of Conduct as well as the Albany Transit Service Code of Conduct also included
on this website.
Faculty and Staff are welcome to participate in the Ram Rush Program. Those who wish
to do so should complete the “Ram Rush Faculty Application” and submit it to ramrush@asurams.edu. Upon receiving the completed application, the Transit Fee will be charged to the
faculty/staff account. Payment may be made at RAM Central on West campus. Once payment
is confirmed, the ID card will be activated for use.
