Parking Services

Yes. All students, faculty or staff members who operate a vehicle on campus are required to purchase a parking permit.
Student parking permits are $15. Faculty/staff parking permits are $25. Reserved parking permits $60.
Motor vehicles may be registered at any time by following the step-by-step instructions outlined on the Auxiliary Services/Parking website.
Yes. Permits are valid for one academic year, August 1 to July 31. Parking Permits must be purchased prior to fall semester each year.
In the event an individual operates a different vehicle on campus, an additional permit must be purchased and displayed to maintain compliance. The additional permit fee is $10. Additional permits are issued by Parking Services.
In the event a student, faculty or staff parking permit is lost, stolen or damaged, ASU Parking Services and ASU Police Department should be notified immediately. Any vehicle with the reported lost, stolen or damaged permit will be removed from campus for displaying an unauthorized permit. A $250 citation will be issued for possession of a stolen permit. Individuals can also be charged with theft by taking or theft by receiving stolen property. If the reported lost, stolen or damaged permit is recovered, it must be returned to Parking Services. The fee for a replacement decal is $10.
No. Students are allowed to park in spaces that are designated orange in color or not designated by any color or reserved space with signage. Be careful not to park in unauthorized areas or locations that may be a safety or security issue. Unauthorized parking may consist of the following, but not limited to: disabled spaces (unless displaying the proper State of Georgia permit), fire lanes, visitor spaces, tow zones, service vehicle spaces, yellow curb and designated reserved spaces with signage. Failure to comply with parking regulations could result in citations and/or the vehicle being towed at the owner's expense. Yes. All students, faculty and staff must properly display the parking permit when parking on campus.
Cones or other traffic control devices may be placed when the space is dangerous for some reason, construction is planned, or a special event is taking place. Please do not move the cones without authorization. There is a $50.00 fine for moving cones or other traffic control devices without authorization.
Yes. All students, faculty, staff and guests who park in a handicapped parking space must properly display a state approved handicapped parking permit in order to park in disabled spaces. All violators are subject to a $250 fine and being towed at the owner's expense.
Yes. All visitors must obtain a visitor parking permit from Parking Services in order to properly park on campus without getting a parking ticket. For assistance, reach out to parkingservices@asurams.edu or 229.500.2886.
Yes. All students, faculty, staff and visitors are subject to all traffic violations upheld by the Traffic Codes of the City of Albany and the State of Georgia.
Parking citations can be paid via cash at RAM Central, Student Center, West Campus or online via debit/credit card utilizing the Student TouchNet Portal. Violators who fail to pay parking citations will not be permitted to register for classes or receive a transcript until the fine is paid.
Yes. Appeals should be submitted to Parking Services at parkingervices@asurams.edu. The Appeals Form can be found on the Auxiliary Services/Parking Services website. The appeal(s) must be registered within five (5) business days from the date the citation was issued. An appeal decision will be made within (10) business days from the date of the appeal.
Yes. Any ASU police officer may order the towing of a vehicle or revoke parking privileges on campus as deemed appropriate.
