Residential Student Parking

Residential Student parking permits are available for $30 per academic year for each vehicle. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure their vehicle information is kept updated in the parking portal.
 
Only students living in assigned dorms on the ASU campus are eligible for a Residential Student parking permit. With this permit, students may park in any space marked with orange coloring. Please note that due to limited parking availability, Residential Students are no longer permitted to drive their vehicles around campus to attend classes. Once dorm assignments are finalized, students will be assigned to specific residential parking areas, clearly indicated by posted signs and/or orange curbs.
 
Important Parking Restrictions:
 
  • Residential Student parking permits do not allow parking in the following areas:
    • Disabled spaces (unless displaying a valid State of Georgia permit)
    • Fire lanes
    • Visitor spaces
    • Tow zones
    • Service vehicle spaces
    • Designated reserved spaces

Commuter Student Parking

Commuter Student and Online Student parking permits are available for $30 per academic year for each vehicle. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure their vehicle information is kept updated in the parking portal.
 
Eligibility for Commuter Student Parking: Commuter Students are those who attend ASU but do not live in ASU housing. These students must travel to campus to attend classes.
 
Parking Areas: Commuter Students may park in unmarked spaces and those designated with orange coloring.
 
Important Parking Restrictions: Commuter Student parking permits do not allow parking in the following areas:
 
  • Disabled spaces (unless displaying a valid State of Georgia permit)
  • Fire lanes
  • Visitor spaces
  • Tow zones
  • Service vehicle spaces
  • Designated reserved spaces

How to Register a Vehicle

Permits are virtual and verified by license plate. Linked vehicle license plates must be visible at all times. Do not back into or pull through parking spaces.
 
  1. Click the "Login" button on the top left.
  2. Sign in with your Albany State University username and password.
  3. Click on Order Permits.
  4. Read the Parking Terms of Service and click “I Agree”.
  5. Select a Permit Type.
  6. Click “Add a Vehicle”.
  7. Enter correct vehicle information (Plate, State, Year, Make, Model and Color) and click “Add Vehicle”.
  8. Click "Add Permit to Cart" then after confirming your information is correct click “Checkout”.
  9. Your transaction is complete when you see a receipt transaction number on the screen and at least one (1) permit and one (1) vehicle on the account in the left navigation on the screen.
