ASU dental hygiene students receive scholarships at Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting

ALBANY - Three Albany State University first-year dental hygiene students received scholarships at the Hinman Dental Society Annual Meeting on March 23.

Morgan Carmichael, Madison Melvin, and Richard Tettey are the 2019 ASU recipients. The Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting is sponsored by the Hinman Dental Society, a non-profit organization. The excess revenue of the meeting is invested and then gifted in the form of scholarships to individuals and institutions that foster dental education. The society has provided nearly $8,600,000 in total giving to date.

They recipients were honored with a paid trip to the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting and a luncheon where the scholarships were presented. ASU instructors Tammy Deese, Debbie Zuern, and Tracy Swift also attended the Meeting.
