Albany State University July 1 deadline for admissions,
financial aid, housing approaching soon

ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University (ASU) July 1 deadline for students to apply for admissions, financial aid and housing for the fall 2018 semester is fast approaching.

Meeting the deadline helps to ensure that university acceptance, aid packages and residence hall room reservations for each student are confirmed.

A full list of undergraduate and graduate degrees and programs, as well as admissions requirements, is available at asurams.edu. Submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only action required to apply for most financial aid at Albany State University, including the HOPE Scholarship and Pell Grant. In order to award financial aid in a timely manner, it is extremely important that a student completes a FAFSA on time and responds to any request for additional documentation as soon as possible.

To complete each of these steps by the July 1 deadline, please visit the ASU admissions, financial aid, and housing web pages. Students and parents can also speak to University representatives in person at the ASU Ram Central locations. The hubs, located on both the East and West campuses, serve as central locations for coordinated enrollment management efforts between the offices of financial aid, admissions, student accounts and the registrar.

The centers are open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hubs are located on the main floor of the student center on the West Campus and on the first floor of the Billy C. Black Building on the East Campus.

ASU also offers a fall B term that allows students to complete an accelerated 8-week academic term. The fall B term admissions deadline is September 14 and classes begin October 8.
